At this year’s local Juneteenth festival in Lincoln Park, CUSH was able to set up a booth in the resource area of the festival, where we were able to speak to people face-to-face about what is actually happening in Kenosha and how everyone can take part in a piece of action that interests them. We talked about our Rainbow Task Force, our Immigration Task Force, and our Homelessness Task Force. By talking to passionate individuals, we were able to continue to grow our network of dedicated individuals.
We Work Locally, Statewide, and Nationally
CUSH is part of WISDOM, a Wisconsin network of 11 affiliates throughout the state. WISDOM is a member of the Gamaliel Foundation, a national network that works to address issues of justice. CUSH maintains its own identity through its membership, however our partnerships with WISDOM and Gamaliel allow us to work together at both the state and national levels.
