Make CUSH a Powerful Voice for Justice
Founded in 1999, Congregations United to Serve Humanity (CUSH) is celebrating over 20 years of being at the forefront of social justice change in Kenosha. Help us continue our work by making a tax-deductible gift today.
Every day, we work to advocate, educate, and empower leaders to make Kenosha a community where everyone thrives. By making a donation today, you make CUSH a powerful voice for justice.
Below we have detailed several ways to give. If you don’t see your favorite way to give listed here, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please consider becoming a CUSH Sustaining Member. As a Sustainer for as little as $10 per month or more, your gifts will provide steady income to CUSH, month after month…income we can count on to help provide the resources needed to lead the call for justice in our community every day!

Immigrant families in Kenosha County are experiencing unprecedented hardship because of Covid 19. However, many of these families are not eligible for the federal and state programs created to provide economic relief. And now many find themselves unable to pay for basic necessities – especially rent and other housing costs. For this reason, CUSH has created a fund to support our Kenosha immigrant brothers and sisters.
Help us reach our $10,000 goal.
Please Donate What You Can, and a special request for those of you fortunate enough to not need your stimulus check – please consider donating part or all of it.

All funds received will be held by CUSH specifically for the purpose of supporting immigrant families.
While anyone is welcome to support the CUSH Leadership Training Scholarship Fund, this is an especially great opportunity for our Sustaining Members who want to support CUSH by making a tax-deductible contribution above and beyond their monthly Sustaining Membership (For example, $20 a month is a $240 annual donation!)
Meet with our Organizer to set up a monthly or one-time donation added to your monthly Sustaining Membership.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. What is more, some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. Ask if your company will match your gift to CUSH.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it, completed and signed, with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to CUSH may be doubled or possibly tripled!

The now permanently extended IRA Charitable Rollover law allows individuals 70½ or older to give up to $100,000 directly from their IRA to one or more qualified charities without paying federal income tax on the withdrawal. Donors who wish to make a gift to benefit CUSH or who are fulfilling an existing pledge may choose to make a qualified charitable distribution from their IRA.
IRA Charitable Rollover Details:
Donors must be age 70½ or older at the time the gift is made.
Only traditional IRAs are eligible. However, owners of other types of qualified plans may roll assets into a new IRA to allow them to make gifts if such a rollover is otherwise permitted. Donors should consult with their advisor before doing so.
Donors must ask their plan administrator to make a direct transfer of funds to a qualified public charity. It is important not to withdraw funds before making a gift.
Gifts cannot be used to fund a gift annuity or charitable remainder trust.
Each donor may give up to $100,000 per year. For couples, each spouse may give up to $100,000 from their IRA.
Distributions made under this law can be used to satisfy the donor’s required minimum distribution (RMD). However, qualified charitable distributions are not limited to the donor’s RMD.
Donors can choose to exclude the distribution from income on their federal tax return. If they do, they will not receive a charitable income tax deduction.
To qualify for tax-free treatment, donors cannot receive goods, services, or a personal benefit (such as tickets for events) in return for the IRA charitable rollover gift.
How to Make an IRA Charitable Rollover Gift
To make a gift to CUSH from an IRA, contact your IRA plan administrator and request a direct qualified charitable distribution from the IRA account to CUSH, a 501(c) (3) organization.

Please contact CUSH at 262-358-6449, or the person you work with at CUSH to inform us of your gift and to let us know how we should direct it.
