National Drug Take Back Day (DTBD) is Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Drug Take Back Day provides a safe, convenient, and responsible way of disposing of prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs at no cost, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications.
Together with local law enforcement departments, Kenosha County Behavioral Health Services is hosting three drop-off sites throughout Kenosha County that will accept unused and/or expired medications and offer naloxone (NARCAN) training:
Kenosha County Center – 19600 75th St., Bristol
Walmart – 3500 Brumback Rd., Kenosha
New Human Services Building site – 3500 52nd St., Kenosha
In addition, Twin Lakes Police Department, 920 Lance Dr., and UW-Parkside, 900 Wood Rd., Tallent Hall, will also accept unused/expired medications at their medication drop boxes.
Wisconsin has ranked number one in the nation for the amount of prescription medications collected at Drug Take Back Day event for the past 5 years. Please help keep Wisconsin #1 in the nation!
