God's Gardens in Kenosha
Meet Rev. Kathy Gloff
Rev. Kathy Gloff is the chair of the Food Security Task Force and the Religious Leaders Caucus.
During Kenosha's Kindness week, the Food Security Task Force partnered with Sustainable Edible Economic Development (S.E.E.D.), UW-Extension and Second Baptist Church to present "God's Gardens in Kenosha: How Can Your Congregation Have One?" Over 40 people attended.
Down to Earth Community Gardens was created in 2012 with a vision to bring gardening and it's joys to the South Eastern Wisconsin area.
Down to Earth's mission is to empower our community members to “help themselves”. We believe the way to a better community is through connecting to the Earth by becoming healthy, happy and proud of our own accomplishments. If everyone grew their own food no one would go hungry. Our mission is to create an environment where people of all ages can come together and experience growing, cooking and eating fresh healthy food.
This website is designed to be a community portal to provide a space for organizations, community-based groups, nonprofits and businesses to communicate and promote activities, services and information related to food systems in Kenosha County.
